Website update.. New article about the purpose of the ATA register on a hard disk, programming it and how to check for errors. The article describes the different ports on a hard disk and their purpose. These ports are commonly used by advanced data recovery systems where direct port access is used to read and write to hard disks. In particular when reading and writing the system or factory area on the hard disk requires usage of these ports in order to gain the access required to modify and repair damaged system modules on hard disks.
