DVD Data Recovery from Video Cameras

Some of our customers that own DVD Video Recording equipment have found that sometimes errors occur that will not let them finalise a DVD rendering it useless.  We have developed a new technique that enables us to recover Video Camera DVD that have not been finalised. The sysmptoms are that when the DVD is placed in a computer it shows as 0 bytes and as if there is nothing on it, and when it is placed back in the camera it shows as unrecorded. The technique we developed involved modifications to a SCSI DVD reader where we can gain direct access to firmware that enables us to read the DVD even when they report as zero bytes. If you have taken your DVD to a computer shop or another date recovery company and they were unable to recover the data, there is a very good chance that we will be able to recover. The technique we have developed also allows us to recover from unfinalised data CD and DVD media. For more information please see our website on :  DVD Data Reco...

SSD Data Recovery: Intel 320 Series BAD_CTX

Another breakthrough in SSD Data Recovery MjM Data Recovery are now able to access data on Intel 320 series of drives that show the 8 MB BAD_CTX problem. We have found a way of reading the data directly through the SATA port. This problem has been bugging users of the Intel 320 series of SSD drives for around 2 years now. Regaining access to the data has not been possible due to the nature of the problem. Previously the only way to repair this was to perform a secure deletion of the data and perform a firmware update. However, this results in the loss of all data on the SSD which is no use to anyone. Our engineers have now managed to gain access to the data resulting with recovered data. Please note that this does not repair the drive and does not actually change the BAD_CTX state we have found a way of bypassing the problem. www.mjm.co.uk

ReFS (Resiliant File System) Data Recovery

MS ReFS (Resiliant File System) Data Recovery Microsoft introduced their Resilient File System (ReFS) with Windows Server 2012. It is a 'self repairing' file system that detects errors and rebuilds data. MjM Data Recovery are now able to recover data from this file system from single drive servers  to multi drive raid systems . Please visit our main website for details of our Data Recovery Services .

Netgear SC101 Data Recovery

Netgear SC101 Data Recovery Data recovery from SC101 and SC101T devices The file systems used by the Netgear SC101 and the SC101T are either Zetera ZFS or Dataplow SFS.  We have a full understanding of these file systems and are able to recover where other fail. Whether your drive has suffered a logical failure and your data has completely vanished or if the drive has mechanical or other physical problems we are able to recover the data. For see the following link for details about our SC101 data recovery services . These units were fairly popular when they first arrived but very soon, reports starting coming in that there were problems with the power supply and over heating. In some cases this resulted with hard disk failure. A new model was then brought out, the SC101T which addressed many of the problems. But there were still problems with the file system. A firmware update was brought out to address the problem, but by now there were several other genuine NAS b...

Major Breakthrough in SSD Data Recovery

Major Breakthrough in SSD Data Recovery MjM Data Recovery have developed techniques to recover data from non responsive SSD drives. The symptoms are that the computer will no longer recognise the device and the reason is that the drive goes into a 'BUSY' or BSY state. When the drive is in this state, it will not respond to any command resulting with no access to the data stored on it. We are able to recover data from most SSD drives with this problem include SED (Self Encrypting Drives) such as those With Sandforce Processors. For more information, please check our website about SSD Recovery Note: We can also perform data recovery/repair on these devices for other Data Recovery companies.

Broadberry Data Recovery

Broadberry Data Recovery MjM Data Recovery can recover data from Broadberry servers. These are mainly used in large organisations and can have several VMs stored on the same system or a Cloud type infrastructure can be used. A failure of the storage system can result in lost access by users. if the BB system is running all of the critical days to day business systems then a failure results with people unable to work. Speed is essential when recovering from this type of problem and we are here to help. We can recover critical data usually very quickly and help to get your business back up and running as quickly as possible. For more information please see our Broadberry Data Recovery section of our website.

RAID 5 Data Recovery

RAID 5 Data Recovery When a customer comes to use with a RAID 5 query, it is important that our engineer understands the concept of RAID 5, the different versions and in some cases proprietary variations. A working RAID 5 system will consist of at least 3 drives. The total accessible data are will be the equivalant of the total sum of n -1 times the size of the smallest of the drives in array) so if we build a RAID 5 array that has 4 x 36 Gb drives the size of the array would be 36 x (4-1) which gives 36 x 3 = 108 Gbytes. The remaining 36 Gb is used to calculate parity this is done using XOR calculations For RAID 5 there is a parity block that shifts its position in the array for each stripe.. The diagram above shows our 4-drive raid 5 array with the Parity block (p) marked in each stripe (A, B, C, D) and Data blocks marked A1, A2 ... through .. D2, D3 Lets explain this a bit more clearly. In the above array it shows the first four stripes or rows (A B C ...
